"RECYCLE"

This piece was a combine, inspired by Rauschenberg. We were supposed to pick an important issue in society today like; abortion, "global warming", war, wall street, etc. I chose the environment, and how we need to do our part to save the earth for haveing the privellege of living on it. I started by printing out "NO LITTERING" signs and assorting them in a collage-like way. I then painted the hills, solar pannels, and wind turbines. The recycle symbol is an image transfer with the earth inside of it.

"Dallas"

This piece was inspired by the famous Baroque painter Rembrandt. The assignment was to use light to convey importance. I used light to convey an importance in the book that my step-brother, Dallas, was reading. I placed a candel in his lap to emitt light from were the book was giving it a sense of importance.
