This piece was inspired by the famous Baroque painter Rembrandt. The assignment was to use light to convey importance. I used light to convey an importance in the book that my step-brother, Dallas, was reading. I placed a candel in his lap to emitt light from were the book was giving it a sense of importance.

I'm a huge fan of how you directly applied the pieces that we looked at in class to your personl life. I'm further impressed with how you convinced your brother to sit with a burning candle in his lap while reading in the dark! Where's your new pieces?
